Killed police man daughter issue

Despite the recent death of policeman Narasingha Mahakud, daughter, now Mrs Sujata Pradhan, was married last Wednesday.
Mahakud died a heroic death on 15 June at the hands of the Maoists in Gariakhaman forest under the Kisinda police station. By that time the marriage of his daughter,Sujata, was also fixed with Mr Binod Bihari Pradhan, a resident of Dhenkanal district.The police took it as a duty and a challenge to solemnize the marriage of Mr Mahakud's daughter without deferring the date. This occurred on the first of this month. Many individuals and organizations also extended financial assistance towards the marriage after the death of the head of the family, police sources said.
Police staff have also extended substantial financial help to the Mahakud family and particularly towards the cost of the marriage.

Delhi High Court decriminalized gay sex .This verdict came on a plea by Delhi based organization NAZ Foundation, who wokz among de sex workers in Delhi.Angali gopalan of NAZ Foundation said wen they started the movement 8 years ago against section 377 ,which criminalized same sex relationship in the country ,they didn't get much support .Bt now changing attitude of society helped those minority , who suffered harassment throughout their lives .Meanwhile UNAIDS ( the joint United Nations programme on HIV and AIDS) welcomed Delhi courts Historic decision.

At that time such meetings were unthinkable in Indian society .That helped gay men to get courage to organise themselves and fight against the discrimination.Bombay city gave gay men mor freedom than anyotr cities n India ,they now organizing gay parties in bars and pubs. Voodoos, a night club in South Mumbai, has a gay night every Saturday.
