Letter To A Friend Turned Lovers Day
Today i met a palmist ,he told me some changes are going to happen in my life . I wondered.....then he said 'of course i meant your life is going to be shared'
After coming home i thought about what he said ....soon Valentines day comes on my mind. ..Yes 14Th February is on the way. St.Valentine, a Roman priest, who died of 14Th February...that day is considered as lovers day.
Claudius a Roman Emperor ,who wanted a big army. So he compelled people to join the army.Valentine was also compelled but he was not ready to join. Consequence of this was Valentine imprisoned. As a priest his duty was to marry couples. when he imprisoned many people came to visit him. One day jailers daughter came to meet him and they became good friends. Later he was sentenced to death. Valentine left a farewell note to jailers daughter for thanking her friendship. As far as i know this is the history of Valentines Day. I wonder Valentine wrote a letter to his friend then how it turned as lovers day.I don't know the fact.....any way i am looking for my Valentine.

My First Barbie
I still remember the day i got my first Barbie...that was my sixth birthday gift given by my neighbour aunt. Now i remember this because i heard the news Katrina Kaif adorn the face of Barbie dolls worldwide.
Kids are always fond of Barbies ...when i got first Barbie i was surprised with her beauty and i told my Mum i want to look like a Barbie and i need her golden hair and blue eyes. She laughed at me and said she was a foreigner but now kids can enjoy a black haired beautiful first Indian sensuous Barbie.
Now i want to tell about my first barbie...i loved her very much and i always kept her beside me. One day i bored with her usual hair style. I decided to give a new style to her so i removed her hair band then i found a big hole at back .I looked at my Barbie , i felt she lost her all beauty. I cried and said my Mum 'my Barbie died'. Women's day Hope
Another Women's Day with lots of emerging thoughts to protect women. Here in India we have police stations ,courts,women commissions....but all proved ,these are not adequate to protect women.
First International Women's Day was in 1911. It is celebrated for the economic , political and social achievements of women. Her achievements are higher but she continues to face physical and mental torture. Another painful subject is sexual harassment but she does not talk about her bitter experience because they don't get proper support from society.Women are blamed for provoking men by their dress , but remember the fact whether she is 6months old or 60 years old ,beautiful or not ,they all face sexual harassment. Then no doubt men's mental attitude is the main reason for all injustice against women .
In 2005 India government passed "The Protection Of Women From Domestic Violence Act".Of course, it helped women to get their justice but , increasing number of transgressions shows men's attitude towards women not changed yet. After this women's day we can hope injustice against women will reduce though we have several recent issues to point out. We need strong unity to prevent these kind of situations and more powerful trial to give maximum punishments to the convicted.

Slum Fver
Everywhere in India people talking about Oscar winning film 'Slum Dog Millionaire'. Before and after the announcement of Oscar , still its a matter of discussion. Why Indian slum got much popularity than ever before?..whats the exact reason behind this? Some people say that a foreigner pictured an Indian story so its managed to get Oscar. That may be a factor of three Indian's Oscar Glory of Success .
India has different culture and out looks ..considering this we can say our slums have different story to tell what they haven't had. That's the success of'' Slum Dog millionaire'. I haven't any slum experience but i seen slums of Kerala ,Madras and Bangalore .I think these slums might not have the same story what Dany Boye showcased as Indian slum. India showing its diversity through language , culture and life style ...though it has unity . Anyway Danny pictured the reality of Bombay slum so he needs to be appreciated for his work.

did it for the prestige of family
Few days before i saw a news in a daily.... a new born baby girl has been found dead in a canal . News with shocking picture.............i stared at her picture ...not once, so many times. Her navel string was not to be removed, that hanged like it has full dream of life. For a while i thought about my childhood........i was a little Princess of my parents.
I felt irritation so i ran to kitchen and hugged my Mother tightly then asked "Did you ever regret having a daughter?"my question came with full emotion. She slowly removed my hands and sighed then said NO ."If a woman became pregnant before her marriage ,what would she do?" i threw another one. She looked at me..then said "definitely she cant offer her child a life".Why she cant?...my question." For the prestige of her family"she said. This time i had nothing to ask.

9. Go directly to the source on every story possible.
10.Leave no reasonable question unanswered.Do not assume readers know the background.And dont be afraid to write a good story you think readers already know.
11.Be polite,but do't be servile.
12.Get details.
13.Don't be afraid to try something that is not in the book.
14.Even if you have mastered the language,use short easy words.
15.Stories are improved by the injection of the time element.
16.After the lead,blend the story from paragraph to paragraph.
17.Don't insult a race,an ethnic group,a minority group or other separate entity.Identify when it adds information.The distintion is thin at times.
18.Don't abuse your privileges or the weapons of your industry.
