SWINE FLU

New influenza A (H1N1) is reassorted virus which originated in Mexico and has spread across the world causing a pandemic. This influenza pandemic, as per WHO estimates ,may affect upto 1/3 of the world population, in view of lack of immunity human beings carry against this virus.
The picture of the epidemic is still evolving at global as well as national level which is the biggest testimonial to strengthen and consolidate our preparedness and response measures in both health as well as non-health sectors. All government agencies with the help of the NDMA( national disaster management authority) have acted promptly, so far ,to contain the magnitude of the problem.
