Female Turkey Judge ordered a wife beater to distribute 1000 leaflets the
discriptin was "I apologise to my wife and all the people for hitting my
wife.".After her Judgement shehad received messages of congratulations from all
over the country and she said "Ibelieve it is a good thing to defend the honour
of a woman who was beaten."
The verdict was given under a law on probation which came into force in 2005 as
part of Turkey's efforts to join the European Union
