A Group of Pakistani Online News Sites has announced an organization
"All Pakistan Cyber News Society" and M. Haroon Abbas Qamar from Al
Qamar Online (www.alqamar.org) has been selected as first president of
the society. This is the first ever organization established to secure
online News Industry and professionalism. The purpose of the society
is to focus on bridging the gap between E-journalism and current
Pakistani Cyber Culture and helping e journalists succeed in the
rapidly changing media landscape of the 21st Century. This Society
with the help of Professional Journalists articulates a comprehensive
policy of Online journalism ethics. Moreover citing "the urgent need"
for a comprehensive, immediate plan to address the downward spiral in
the business of publishing original, quality journalism, experienced
journalism and media industry executives announced the formation of
"All Pakistan Cyber News Society", an organization that will quickly
facilitate the ability of online publishers to realize revenue from
the digital distribution of the original journalism they produce
