2. Bulldog- Early edition, usually the first of a newspaper.

14.Shirttail- Short related story adapted to the end of a longer one.
15.Slant- To write a story so as to influence the reader's thinking.
16.Text- Verbatim report of a speech or public statement.
17.Thumbnail- Half-column-wide cut or portrait.
18.Tip- Information passed to a reporter, often in confidence.
19.Wire services- Synonym for press associations, the Associated Press and the
United Press International.
